Mom's Crazy | |
Busy BusyOH my gosh, could life get any more complicated or busy?
Jonathan is going to sign up to play lacrosse. My baby! He plays Rugby and now Lacrosse? Good grief. What is next? Polo?
I'm thinking about having pizza for dinner tonight, and inviting the neighbors over. Why?Why must there be drama? Huh? Crazy stuff. I hate teenage crap too. The kids seem knee deep in it.
The fluUgh. We are sick. Poor Jonathan is the worst of us all. He's out of school for the entire week.
I am so damn cold! I know I should suck it up and turn the heat on, but damn, just yesterday morning I still had the A/C on!!!! Ugh.
It's crazy. it's cold outside!Dang is it ever cold. I'm about frozen. Dang it anyway!
I don't like the cold at all!
So, if you are in need of an internet search browser, try chacha. Man, it's cool. And you get to interact with guides who help you! Check it out! www.chacha.com I'm sick! Again!Ugh. I'm tired of being sick All.The.Time. I have some sucky virus yet again. My throat hurts, I have no voice and I just feel blah. Jonathan stayed home from school today because he also felt like crap. Poor kid! Jenna has it too...and oh so does the husband. He's the babiest of them all. Hope has a new Swing!Hope killed her first swing. The motor burned up. You know, they don't make wind up swings any more, only battery operated. Well, they die, fast. It was 6 weeks old. lol!
so we bought her a new high speed swing. It's a portable swing. This is the one.
I must say, it's cool. New Nestle Baking ChocolateYUMMMMMMMMMMM. Have you all seen this stuff? OMG. It is heavenly. Nestle Chocolate has this new baking chocolate out just in time for the holidays. Check out their website for great baking ideas, recipes and more!
LiseWe are fostering a crazy greyhound.
Well, she's asking to go out now, so I suppose I had better go. Church, again!I was definately awake during church this Sunday! Pastor was wound up!
This year is going by so quickly. I hope it doesn't go by too fast. I'm trying to enjoy every moment of Hope's babyhood before it's gone. She'll be 4 months old on Friday! Blogroll me. :-)Technorati ProfileA Miracle for HopeYesterday we learned of a miracle. Hope was born with a brain bleed. We were told that the odds were quite good that she'd have serious side effects from the bleed. These side effects could include CP, mental retardation, blindness, hearing loss, speech delays, learning disaiblities, etc. We were ok with this. At least we knew what to expect as she got older, right? Well, yesterday she had a follow up ultrasound. To make a very long story very short, the brain bleed is GONE! Just had to share.
Jonathan and his GirlI gotta make the font bigger. My eyes are older than the rest of me and they can't see worth a darn!
Anyway, Jonathan has a new love in life. Before last month, his only love was Rugby. He is a fine Rugger and will grow up to have many broken bones, cuts and bruises, I am sure...but, Rugby has competition for his affection. He now adores his cello! So much so that I tease him all the time that he has a new girlfriend. He has a fine cello, 1/2 size so it's not so obnoxious. He, however, has his sights on a black and hot pink bass. Now that is fun. I can just see him on the worship team at church with his rockabilly bass! Heh.
Church, Dogs, Baby.....Oh my!
I stayed awake in church today because Pastor Phil's sermon rocked. He is one powerful speaker that just has the fire in him! Awesome stuff. I felt rejuvenated when I left today, which was a good thing.....
On the way home we stopped to pick up Lise. She is a HUGE girl. OMG. I didn't anticipate that. Our two are small females.
Hope, the human baby, was fussy tonight too. OMG I didn't think she'd ever go to sleep!
So, that's life from here. Crazy. It's just crazy. How to Stay Awake in Church?Any fast and furious tips on staying awake in church? I am too darn tired by Sunday AM to be up and awake....what can I do? Pastor Barry isn't gonna take too kindly to me snoring in the 6th pew back, is he? Shall I use the exuse that I have a baby? I'm nervous about tomorrow! Why am I crazy?I think I'm losing my God-given mind.....or maybe He wants me to lose it.
We have two living biological children, two adopted, two greyounds, a psycho cat and well, my husband is certifiably crazy...... I must be too. We are fostering a greyhound. Good grief. We are nuts. Just plain nuts! Help! Who is Crazy Mom and Why am I here?

So, I will start off by introducing myself so any random visitors will know who they are reading about, then the rest will be random brain farts from me....
I'm Maggie, homeschooling Mama to Jenna (14, 9th grade), Jessica (13, 6th grade, public school), Jonathan (9, 4th grade public school) and Hope (born June 06). I live in what used to be a nice neighborhood, but has rapidly become Peyton Place (anyone remember that show? I'm too young, but have heard so much about it). This place has more drama than the movies.
I have been married to my hunk of a husband (well, he was then, now he's fat and bald, but then I've not aged gracefully myself, so we call it even) for 17 years. He has a desk job now, but it wasn't always that way. I kinda like it now, though. He works in a cool office that's fun to visit.
We have two greyhounds. One is a retired raicer and the other a spanish galga. Both have stories to tell, some day I might put it in writing to document it, probably not.
I'm passionate about many things and a true testament that you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover.......Jenna likes to remind people that I have a freak flag, I just don't fly it
So, that's me in a nutshell. Now carry on. |
